Progesterone and Prop 65
BACKGROUND:
In 1986 voters in the State of California approved the ÒSafeDrinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986Ó more commonly known as Prop 65.
The original intent of the act was aimed at industries contaminating rivers and consequently the public water supply.
Prop 65 has affected not only companies discharging materials into the environment, but also the manufacture of dietary supplements, groceries, and the table service ware you use daily.
Prop 65 REQUIRED WARNING
On January 1, 1988 Progesterone was included on the Prop 65 list.
Progesterone is a naturally occurring steroid found in every living animal. It is the precursor of testosterone, which is the precursor to estrogen.
